What is RootData Projects? How to Discover Quality Web3 Projects Using the Project Library, Filters, and Transparency Improvement Rankings?
RootData Projects is the core project library of the platform, covering structured profiles of over 21,000 crypto projects. Users can filter by tags, ecosystems, investors, financing status, TGE, valuation, transparency ratings, and more than ten other dimensions, and discover early projects by sorting through the RD Growth Index and RD Heat Index; the accompanying 'Project Transparency Improvement Rankings' showcases the 30 projects with the highest transparency score increases in the last 7 days, helping users identify project parties that are actively disclosing information. This article introduces what this section covers, how to use it, and its limitations.

Who is the Projects section suitable for?
- Early investors: need to filter candidate targets by track, round, and institution before projects become mainstream;
- Institutional researchers: need to export project lists in bulk to build their own tracking pools;
- Cautious users: want to verify project transparency ratings, operational status, and financing history before investing;
- Industry observers: want to perceive market narrative shifts through heat and growth indices.
Why is a multi-dimensional filtered project library needed?
The crypto market adds hundreds of new projects every month, and relying on social media to filter information is essentially a competition for attention—loud projects are not necessarily of good quality, and early quality projects are often hidden beneath the noise. The real questions investors need to answer are: which projects in the AI track have received investment from top institutions? Which projects are about to have TGE? Which projects are actively disclosing information, and which are hiding? A single project page cannot solve these problems; what is needed is the ability to filter and sort across projects, which is the value of the project library and index system.
What functions does the Projects section provide?
1. Project list and multi-dimensional filtering. The list supports two modes: 'comprehensive sorting / latest inclusion', with projects arranged by name, tags, ecosystem, and a one-sentence introduction, and provides two indices: RD Growth Index (reflecting recent growth momentum of the project) and RD Heat Index (reflecting market attention).
The left-side filter covers more than ten dimensions: tags (infrastructure, AI, Layer1, Layer2, DePIN, gaming, DeSci, DeFi, RWA, etc., all expandable), ecosystem, investors, token status, financing status, TGE, latest valuation, transparency rating, region, operational status. This means that precise combination queries like 'Layer2 + Series A + not yet issued tokens' can be completed in seconds.
2. Project Transparency Improvement Rankings. This is an independent ranking within the list page, officially defined as: showcasing the 30 projects with the highest increases in RootData transparency scores in the last 7 days, representing projects that are actively disclosing key information such as financing, team, and token economics to the community. The ranking is sorted by changes in transparency scores (7D) and marks the current transparency rating (A/B/C).
3. Individual project profiles. Click on any project to enter the detail page, where you can view structured information such as team, financing history, token economics, on-chain addresses, and related individuals (see project detail function for more).
Three typical use cases
Building an early project pool: use the filter to lock in 'AI tag + latest inclusion + has financing', and get a list of candidates worth due diligence in descending order of RD Growth Index, then click into the detail page to verify the team and institutions one by one.
Identifying projects that are 'seriously disclosing': use the transparency improvement rankings as a positive signal—significant score increases mean that the project party is actively improving information, filtering out long-term low-scoring projects with the transparency rating.
Tracking narrative heat: compare the distribution changes of heat indices under different tags to determine whether market attention is shifting from DeFi to AI agents or RWA, providing reference for sector allocation.
Usage Limitations
- List data and indices are sourced from the page snapshot on October 16, 2026, indices change in real-time, and rankings do not represent long-term trends;
- The RD Growth Index and RD Heat Index are relative indicators calculated by the platform based on multi-dimensional data, with specific algorithms not disclosed, suitable for horizontal comparisons, and not suitable as absolute valuation references;
- The transparency improvement rankings reflect 'information disclosure activity' and have no causal relationship with project quality or token performance;
- The project library covers projects included by RootData, and projects not included are not within the statistical scope of any indices or rankings;
- All filtering results are data presentations and do not constitute investment advice.
