About kash

Kash is a prediction market protocol built on Base (Coinbase's L2), settling all trades in USDC with sponsored gas. Its core differentiator is social-native trading: users can buy and sell outcome shares directly on X (Twitter) by quote-tweeting or replying to the @kash_bot account, with no app, wallet, or order book required. Markets support 2–8 outcomes (not just Yes/No), trade against an automated market maker (AMM), and are resolved by a multisig oracle with a contract-enforced refund path if resolution fails.

The core narrative is bringing prediction markets to the 99% of people who argue in group chats and post takes on X but never touch platforms like Polymarket or Kalshi. It addresses the pain points of traditional prediction markets: high friction (wallets, order books), slow resolution (weeks or months), and the need for an editorial team to decide what is worth pricing. Kash instead prices fast-moving, social-native events—rug calls, CT drama, founder feuds, meme cycles—that resolve in hours or days, and allows anyone to request or create markets.

In the past six months (March–September 2026), Kash launched its public testnet in March. Week 1 saw 390 users across 41 countries place 2,262 predictions worth $3.45M in testnet volume. The largest market was not Bitcoin but whether Elon Musk would tweet "Scam Altman." The team shipped 108 features and 135 bug fixes in six days. One notable incident: a payout batch limit caused a one-day delay for 112 winners in the "Scam Altman" market; the fix was shipped and all payouts settled correctly. Sell volume was nearly nonexistent (2,233 buys vs 27 sells), indicating users treat Kash as a one-way conviction market. Market creation is still curated by the team, with permissionless creation rolling out gradually.

Kash is a social-native prediction market protocol operating on Base, allowing users to buy and sell outcomes of real-world events directly on social platforms like X, settling in USDC with no gas fees. Key milestones in its development with long-term significance include:

  1. Completion of a $2 million Pre-Seed funding round: Participated by Big Brain Holdings, Spartan Group, Coinbase Ventures, among others. The funds are used to expand operations and development, and to advance prediction trading tools embedded in social media. This marks capital recognition of its 'social-native + prediction market' model.

  2. Launch of a simulated testnet on X: Kash launched a simulated testnet on X, enabling users to create and trade prediction topics (e.g., Bitcoin price events) without leaving their social feed, validating the product path of embedding prediction markets into social media.

Additionally, Kash supports permissionless market creation, flash markets (as short as 15 minutes), and native leverage, laying a foundation for long-term growth. Together, these milestones illustrate Kash's early trajectory from concept to funded development and product testing.
