Yellow

Yellow Network is a decentralized clearing network for digital assets. Its core business is to provide a non-custodial, high-speed cross-chain trading infrastructure. The network uses state channels to move trade execution off-chain while settling finality on-chain, enabling near-instant transactions with low fees. Its flagship product includes the Nitrolite protocol and an SDK for building trading applications, as well as a proprietary trading platform.

The main value proposition is combining the security of decentralized finance with the performance of centralized exchanges. It addresses the pain points of centralized exchanges—such as counterparty risk and custody failures (e.g., FTX, Mt.Gox)—and the limitations of decentralized exchanges, including slow speed, high gas costs, and fragmented liquidity. By allowing peer-to-peer order matching and batch settlement, Yellow reduces overhead for market makers and tightens spreads.

In the past six months (March to September 2026), Yellow Network launched its mainnet on Ethereum in March 2026, alongside the $YELLOW token. The network has reported over 500 applications in development. It also introduced mechanisms for node operators to stake $YELLOW for running infrastructure, and a governance framework via YellowGovernor. No major negative events have been publicly reported in this period.
