About Tabi
Tabi is an EVM-compatible Layer 1 for games and consumer applications, built on the Cosmos SDK with IBC connectivity and retaining the Ethereum virtual machine and Solidity tooling. Game apps need low fees and steady block production, yet on general-purpose chains they compete with DeFi for blockspace and confirmations stretch during events; the chain runs proof-of-stake consensus with its own validator set, keeps in-game assets and transactions in dedicated blockspace, connects to Cosmos assets over IBC and lowers contract migration cost through EVM compatibility. Nodes expose standard JSON-RPC so wallets and frameworks connect directly, and fees are paid in the native asset.
Integration takes familiar steps: contracts are written in Solidity and deployed over JSON-RPC, wallets and frameworks connect as usual; in-game assets are issued as contracts, trades are packed into dedicated blockspace, and fees are paid in the native asset. Assets reach other ecosystems over IBC, and a publisher can keep tokens, items and season passes on one chain.
As an L1 chain focused on consumer applications, Tabi's key milestones include: in March 2024, Testnet V1 launched, attracting over 1 million GG token holders, 2 million wallet addresses, and transaction volume exceeding 110 million; subsequently, Testnet V2 'Yoake' was released, focusing on modular architecture and cross-chain interoperability, providing a highly scalable foundation for gaming and consumer scenarios. In terms of tokenomics, Tabi announced that 8% of the total supply would be allocated to airdrops, with 80 million TABI tokens distributed to GG holders and Voyager event participants, strengthening community incentives. On June 13, 2024, Tabi Chain initiated a public sale to further drive ecosystem development. Additionally, Tabi is actively positioning in the Web3 gaming sector, with its modular design seen as key infrastructure for onboarding traffic from platforms like TON. The long-term vision is to become the underlying platform for consumer-grade blockchain applications through cross-chain interoperability and a developer-friendly environment.
In 2026 Tabi continued building its consumer chain and payments push. On January 26 it partnered with SentismAI to bring permissioned AI agents onto its Web2-to-Web3 consumer-finance rails. Per its roadmap, TabiChain's mainnet target was no later than Q1 2026, with a Tabi stablecoin and programmable payments in the first half; during the year TabiPay was phased out as the project pivoted toward a consumer AI execution-layer narrative. The TABI token had not officially launched, and the team warned about impostor tokens.
Future strategy and roadmap: Tabi will expand its Polymorphic VM and consumer AI execution layer, exploring buy-now-pay-later and N-payment products in H2. Its SentismAI partnership brings permissioned AI agents into the Web2-to-Web3 consumer-finance channel, alongside global compliance and programmable-payment build-out, shaping TabiChain into a consumer-facing on-chain finance network.
Tabi began as Treasureland, an NFT marketplace on BNB Chain built in 2021, and became a Layer 1 for consumer applications when founder Xavier Lee rebranded the team in 2024.
Lee spent years on NFT marketplaces before the pivot, and partner Mori Xu handles strategy and ecosystem coordination while the core engineering group owns the Cosmos and EVM compatibility work. Lee owns company and technology direction, Xu leads strategy and external coordination, the engineering group is split across protocol, client and tooling, the headcount is weighted toward research and development, and most core members come from NFT and infrastructure backgrounds, running as a compact engineering organisation.
