About Record

Record is an entertainment economy infrastructure built on the Soneium blockchain. It quantifies and verifies fan contributions—such as community building, content sharing, and cultural amplification—that have traditionally been ignored by the entertainment industry. These contributions are converted into on-chain demand signals and tokenized via $REC, forming a new asset class tied to IP growth. The core narrative is "fan-driven IPFi" (intellectual property finance), which differs from speculative "X-to-Earn" models by integrating directly with official IP ecosystems and rewarding genuine fan passion with exclusive experiences rather than financial incentives.

The market pain point Record addresses is the undervaluation of fan labor. Traditional entertainment value flows only from IP distribution, while fans' collective efforts remain uncompensated and unmeasured. Record solves this by making fan contributions measurable, verifiable, and valuable, creating a sustainable model where fans share in the value they help create.

The IRC APP serves as its flagship application, using generative AI to evaluate fan behavior and reward on-chain verified support. Major Japanese idol groups including AKB48, Nogizaka46, FRUITS ZIPPER, CANDY TUNE, and CUTIE STREET have onboarded, demonstrating real-world adoption. In the past six months (2026-03-12 to 2026-09-12), Record has been in private R&D phase, focusing on expanding its infrastructure beyond idol entertainment to broader IP verticals and gradually activating the $REC economy. No significant negative events were reported during this period, though the project remains in early-stage development with limited public documentation.

In the past six months, Record completed a $3.2M funding round led by Sony Innovation Fund and deepened its partnership with Sony Block Solutions Labs, establishing itself as core IPFi infrastructure on Soneium. Through the IRC APP, Record onboarded major Japanese idol groups including AKB48, Nogizaka46, and FRUITS ZIPPER, converting fan contributions into verifiable on-chain assets and validating the fandom-driven IPFi model.

Officially stated future priorities include building Record into a universal open-source protocol serving all forms of IP and fandom contribution, expanding into music, gaming, film, and anime. The roadmap also involves activating the $REC token economy to turn fan passion into quantifiable value, aiming to establish a cross-industry IPFi economic standard.
