About Mercuryo
Founded in 2018, Mercuryo is a crypto payments provider running on-ramp and off-ramp rails between fiat and crypto. The pain point it targets is that users in different regions need to convert with cards or bank accounts: the product is delivered as a widget that embeds into a partner's page, supports Apple Pay, Google Pay, Visa, Mastercard and bank transfer, shows all fees up front in a single quote before confirmation, and caps its rate at about 3.95%.
The widget supports more than 50 fiat currencies, and once a card is linked purchases complete inside the wallet or app without a separate account. On the compliance side its UK entity holds an FCA electronic money institution licence, exchange services in the European Economic Area are provided by Criptan Trade under a MiCA licence, its Canadian entity is registered with FINTRAC as a money services business, and it applies FCA-aligned KYC and ISO 27001 controls. It publicly reports coverage of more than 150 countries and more than 200 partners.
Mercuryo charges up to 5.5% on crypto purchases with a minimum fee of EUR 1, and up to 3.95% on crypto sales with a minimum fee of EUR 4.
Mercuryo applies an additional Fast Track fee of up to 5% on top of the standard rate, with the final quote varying by region and payment method and shown in the widget before confirmation.
