Jessica Martinez

Jessica Martinez is Blockchain Association’s Senior Director of Government Relations, representing the crypto industry on the Hill. Most recently, Jessica served as the Staff Director for the U.S. Joint Economic Committee under Chairman, Sen. Martin Heinrich (D-NM), where she oversaw a diverse team and directed high-impact research and reports on critical economic issues. Prior to coming back to Capitol Hill, Jessica was a partner at a government relations and strategic communications firm focused on technology innovation.

Dan Spuller

Dan Spuller represents Blockchain Association as Executive Vice President of Industry Affairs. Since 2012, Dan has been an advocate of decentralized digital assets, bitcoin, and blockchain technology. From 2016-2020, Dan led membership growth at the Chamber of Digital Commerce, and in 2019 was appointed Co-Chair of the North Carolina Blockchain Initiative by the state’s Lieutenant Governor. He previously worked for North Carolina’s Department of Commerce and successfully drove a multi-stakeholder campaign leading to the passage of the NC Money Transmitters Act of 2016.

Summer Mersinger

Summer Mersinger is CEO of Blockchain Association, where she leads advocacy efforts to advance digital asset innovation and policy in Washington. She previously served as a Commissioner of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, nominated by President Biden and unanimously confirmed by the Senate. With over 20 years of experience in public policy and government affairs, Summer has held senior roles at the CFTC, on Capitol Hill as Chief of Staff to Senator John Thune, and in the private sector.

Prior to joining the association, Chris was director of communications and programs for the National Association for Business Economics, the premier professional association for corporate economists.
